What we do

Who we are

Imagine This (formerly the Murray Parish Trust) was founded in 2014 by Jim Murray MBE and Sarah Parish MBE in memory of their daughter, Ella-Jayne. Born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome and a congenital heart defect, Ella-Jayne spent much of her short life in paediatric intensive care. She passed away at home at just eight months old.

Her life, and the journey they shared with her, inspired Jim and Sarah to create a charity that supports seriously ill children and their families. Over the past decade, the charity has helped deliver life-saving and life-enhancing projects, which today benefit more than 150,000 children each year.

In 2025, we became Imagine This; a name that reflects our renewed focus on imagination-led mental health and well-being support. Children living with serious illness are three times more likely to struggle with their mental health. We’re here to change that, by offering creative, compassionate care when it’s needed most.
